On the fourth Saturday of the month it is always a question of which Chapter meeting I should attend, the CES Meeting, near Baltimore or the SNR meeting near Trenton.
This September, I had a third choice and that was the TG September Fling at the Hilton Garden Inn near Edison, New Jersey.
My friend Tina and I agreed to meet at the hotel about 7 PM. I arrived about one hour early because I had never been there before and I allowed enough time in case I got lost. It is a beautiful new hotel, among other new hotels, at the Raritan Center, a place where conventions and shows like boat shows, etc. are held.
It was raining so I decided to drive there in female blue jeans, T-shirt and white running shoes. After I arrived at the hotel I found the dressing room on the second floor and proceeded to change into my new fuchsia floral print dress. My wife had reminded me that I should wear a slip under this dress to keep it from bunching in certain places so I brought a pretty satin slip for this purpose. I then put on makeup, jewelry and my wig. All I needed then was to put on my four inch, ankle strap pumps and proceed to the dining room.
The dining room was very large with a number of round tables with the buffet at one end of the room and a small bar in the middle near the wall. I spotted Tina who was wearing a pink blouse with a long floral skirt and platform high heel ankle strap shoes. We found a table with some of Tina’s friends and had drinks before going to the buffet table. We enjoyed a fine dinner before the show began.
