Solidarity And Sisterhood  by Linda Sullivan

Now stop and think about all those things I mentioned.

Without the National Tri-Ess organization there wouldn’t be a local chapter.

Membership in our chapter as well as chapters in several other states has grown in the past month.

Have you really stopped to think about where these new members come from? How did you find out about our little group? Were you surfing the net and up popped the name Tri-Ess? Did you read a letter in Annie’s Mailbox (bless those gals) and see the snail mail or Internet address for Tri-Ess? Were you at a professional medical conference and see a booth for Tri-Ess? Were you seeing a therapist to understand who you were and they referred you to Tri-Ess?

These are some of the intangible benefits that we often take for granted.

Now stop and think what would happen to our chapter if those referrals suddenly stopped.

What if National Tri-Ess ceased to exist? What about those who would never be able to meet in a secure place and feel welcomed? What about those who have no where to turn for information that they feel comfortable passing on to a spouse or S/O? We owe all those future members our support of National Tri-Ess.

I’m not saying that we have to agree with everything the board may say or do. We are still entitled to our opinions. However we all need to be of the same mind and be following the same path if we are to succeed and be strong as a chapter and a national organization.

The best way we can do this is through our support and membership in National Tri-Ess.
