This has nothing to do with college basketball, but is about the Annual Dinner Dance of the New York Metro Chapter Chi Delta Mu.
The dinner was held at the beautiful and luxurious Glenpoint Marriott Hotel in Teaneck, New Jersey on Saturday, March 13th 2004.
The New York Chapter of Tri-Ess had one of the ballrooms with its own rest rooms.
Tammie had asked us if we could share a ride with Louise from Atlantic City. Of course we could so I wrote to Louise and told her to drive to my home then she could go with us to Teaneck. The name Teaneck rings a bell for me. When I was a young boxer I fought three very tough fights in the Teaneck Armory and I won two of them.
Louise was to meet us at our home at about 1500 hours, but she decided to take a sight seeing tour around Ocean Township that caused us to be slightly delayed, but that was okay because we arrived at the Marriott on time. I thought that I had provided good directions, but they weren't perfect. Being nervous about neighbors, Theresa made me stuff my dress into my jeans and remove my wig until I entered the car and drove away. Louise looked very attractive with her dress and blonde hair. Fortunately, there were no traffic problems on the way there via the Garden State Parkway and Route 80.
The Glenpoint Marriott is tall and can be seen from a distance. It is located only a few miles from the George Washington Bridge and New York City. We went to the dressing rooms on the 3rd floor then went downstairs to the ballroom as soon as we were ready. There were two tables reserved for the members of FemmeFever so Theresa, Louise, Tina and I sat down there. Tina looked statuesque in her beautiful dress.
