Photograph of Barbara Van Horn Shana has become the proponent of the "Themed Meeting." What a great idea! In June. it was "Brides" month and in September, it was the "Fifties." Choosing a special theme can bring out the imagination in all of us. What next? "Daisy Dukes Night?" (OK, too much imagination…) How about "Blond Night?" (It would give me a reason to buy a new wig.)

Fashion fascinates me. It seems now that underneath it all it's what's behind you that counts. Yep, butts are back. Thank Linda for bringing this one to our attention.

For years we just cruise along dressing once in awhile, feeling kinda guilty, and then it all "clicks." Rachel shares her "exponential" story. Perhaps you too have one that we would find interesting. Share it with the girls!

If you haven't visited the new CES chapter website you have a treat in store. Karen has done a marvelous job of creating an attractive space on line where we can share our best with each other and rest of the world. We can even meet there and discuss really important or completely trivial stuff. Make it a favorite on your browser and check in at least a couple of times a week. Karen is also looking for some helpers to maintain and monitor the site. Let her know that you want to help. With a little care our new website can be a wonderful and effective outreach tool.

Lastly, the holiday season is fast approaching…again! Not only does CES have it's annual dinner out scheduled for December 11th, but TGEA has invited us along with all members of the gender community to their gala in Arlington, VA on December 4th. Check out the flyer on their website!
